Community Foundation For The Fox Valley Volunteer Sridevi Buddi
The Illuminating Women art exhibition is a celebration of inspiring women who have made a lasting impact within their communities.
Through a collection of photography and biographical narratives, the exhibit honors trailblazers, caregivers, leaders, and everyday heroines whose courage, creativity, and resilience have profoundly shaped the lives of those around them. Each piece captures a unique journey, creating a tapestry of strength and hope that invites visitors to reflect on the enduring influence of women. This week, we're highlighting a Community Foundation of the Fox Valley volunteer, Sridevi Buddi.
Meet Sridevi...

Sridevi Buddi
Sridevi Buddi put her brilliant mind to work, earned an MBA in India and was on her way to completing her Ph.D. Sri speaks three different languages. She loved teaching and was the youngest lecturer at Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. Sri followed her husband to the United States and has since fully embraced her chosen home country. She is very supportive of her husband, their three children and extended family. Sri's love for others also extends to her community. She leads with service at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley, IndUS of the Fox Valley, the Rotary Club of Appleton, the Leonardo da Vinci school, and several other organizations. A self-professed people person, she thrives in the company of others. Sri feels blissful singing and listening to great music.
Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, Sri aspires to be the change she wishes to see in the world. Remaining humble, she continues to evolve. For example, Sri taught herself grant writing and website design. She recently learned new skills at the Non-Profit Leadership Institute. She then combined her new insights with her management acumen to reinvigorate IndUS with new collaborative programs with other organizations. She inherited her drive and versatility from her grandfather, a gifted civil engineer and tennis player. She draws on her intellectual strengths and her work ethic to accomplish her goals.
Sri adapts to her changing life with patience and optimism. This served her well when moving across continents and balancing the needs of her family. She pivoted from business academia to accounting and then to the non-profit world. She accepts others as they are and peacefully trusts in God's wisdom. She practices empathy by caring for others yet lets them make their own choices. Sri hopes that her children will be happy and share her passion for service. She plans to continue her quest for learning. Sri encourages others to be ambitious and aspire to meaning and purpose in life.
