Employment Resource Group President and CEO Sharon Hulce

The Illuminating Women art exhibition is a celebration of inspiring women who have made a lasting impact within their communities.

Through a collection of photography and biographical narratives, the exhibit honors trailblazers, caregivers, leaders, and everyday heroines whose courage, creativity, and resilience have profoundly shaped the lives of those around them. Each piece captures a unique journey, creating a tapestry of strength and hope that invites visitors to reflect on the enduring influence of women. This week, we're highlighting Sharon Hulce, the President and CEO of Employment Resource Group.

Sharon Hulce

Sharon Hulce is the President and CEO of the Employment Resource Group, an executive search firm. She has earned many prestigious accolades including 2023 Enterprising Woman of the Year, the 2023 Woman in Construction, Forbes Author, and 2024 Titan 100. Picking rock on her parents' Wilton, Wisconsin dairy farm, Sharon knew that she would not follow in their footsteps and pursued her business career. Shortly after she married, her husband had a bad accident which at the time left him unable to work. Sharon became the sole breadwinner and eventually founded her own company. Always fabulously dressed for the occasion, Sharon adores beautiful shoes. She loves exploring different cities around the world with her favorite travel partner, her daughter Katie.

Blessed with clarity and incredible confidence, Sharon respects her own instincts. After many years of marriage, Sharon realized that she needed to get a divorce to reach her full potential. She also knew she would be successful by capitalizing on her emotional intelligence in recruiting. When most recruiters did their work exclusively over the phone, Sharon met in person to get to know candidates and potential employers to find a perfect match. To succeed, Sharon understood she needed to create opportunities herself. For example, she found a wonderful president for the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center pro-bono and as a result, met new clients and her business flourished.

Sharon's energy level and passion are legendary. Focused on her goals, Sharon will not be outworked by anyone and has broken many records in the recruiting industry. Sharon's motto is "extraordinary, not ordinary", and she uses it to cheer herself and others on. Truthful and attentive, she sees potential in others when no one else does and is a dedicated mentor. Sharing her knowledge through social media, Sharon hopes to inspire other women in business. When life is difficult, Sharon recommends connecting with one's inner buffalo and facing the storm head on.

Elkhart Lake Wisconsin At Dawn

By laura | March 26, 2025

Elkhart Lake at Dawn: A Solitary Stroll The town of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, still sleeps as I step onto its quiet streets with a camera in hand.  In these early hours, a hush makes the world feel untouched.  I wander the historic streets and admire the vintage storefronts, my footsteps the only sound on the…

Hawaiian Islands Unplugged Adventures

By laura | June 5, 2025

The Art of Letting Go: Unplugged on the Hawaiian Islands There are moments in every life when the path forward suddenly becomes unclear.  For me, that moment arrived not in a studio or gallery, but barefoot on the shores of the Hawaiian Islands. I traveled to the islands to unplug from the hustle, social media,…
