The couple had been together for 10 years before he proposed! They were very ready to be married, and I love that they had so much personality and were so fun and SO photogenic. Jeff is the owner and tattoo artist at Full Throttle, and the car in the photos – a ’57 Chevy 150! – was a gift from him to his bride on their wedding day. Could that have been a more perfect wedding gift for these two?
Shar tells us the details: “All 3 of our children stood up in our wedding with my oldest daughter Rebecca being my maid of honor. 13 is our favorite number so we picked August 13 to get married because it was the only 13 that fell on a Saturday that entire year. We had 13 friends stand up in our wedding. 13 tables for dinner and there were 13 flowers in my bouquet.” Shar received a charm bracelet from Jeff before the ceremony (as a gift) and each groomsmen individually brought a wrapped charm in for her to open before the ceremony. I love details like this that are so personal for everyone involved!
The day started with some rain, and it poured immediately after the ceremony, but when it stopped – we had the most picture perfect skies to finish our formals of the bride and groom. I love how these came out, not only because the weather turned perfect, but because of the genuine laughter and fun Jeff and Shar were having. I love photographing couples who can ‘just be themselves’ in front of the camera.
The reception at Amore was crazy fun, but my favorite part was the couple’s reactions to the hilarious slideshow presented after the toasts. I really feel that their family and loved ones went the extra mile to make this a special day for this wonderful couple.
Jeff & Shar, thank you for choosing Studio L Photography to capture your memorable day and for again reminding me why I love photographing weddings
and capturing the love between two individuals!
