Organic Farmer Collaborates With Paddock Club
A Harvest of Love: An Organic Farmer's Dream Wedding on Her Own Land
There’s something magical about a wedding that’s rooted in intention—where every detail reflects not only love, but a way of life. That was the case for Robyn Calvey, a passionate organic farmer whose dream wedding took place right on the land she has lovingly cultivated for years.
Nestled on her 15-acre Park Ridge Organics farm, Robyn’s wedding was an intimate, joy-filled celebration that perfectly embodied the values she lives by: sustainability, community, and connection to the earth.

Robyn didn’t just want a wedding—she wanted a meaningful gathering.
She not only wanted to celebrate her and her partner’s love story, but the land that sustains them and the relationships that support their life. So, she turned to the beloved Paddock Club, which she’s partnered with for years. Known for its farm-to-table cuisine and seasonal menus, the Paddock Club sources a significant portion of its produce from Park Ridge Organics. It felt only right that they would be the ones to craft the meal for her special day. And what a meal it was.

As the sun dipped low over Lake Winnebago, guests were treated to a rustic yet elegant feast.
Prepared by the restaurant’s chef, Lynn Chisholm, who brought her mobile kitchen straight to the farm. Everything—from the just-picked tomatoes in the Acquacotta to the roasted beets and grilled broccoli—was either grown on Robyn’s farm or sourced locally. The dishes were vibrant, fresh, and full of flavor, a true reflection of the season and the soil.
The wedding itself was a dream of simplicity and charm.
Flowers from North Road Flower Farm filled the bouquets, dotted the tables, and framed the handmade arbor at the ceremony spot.
What made the day even more special was the sense of community. Friends and family lent a hand—from setting up string lights between the barn beams to playing live music as twilight settled in. It was clear that this wasn’t just a wedding—it was a celebration of everything Robyn had nurtured: love, land, and a life deeply rooted in purpose.

In the end, Robyn’s wedding was more than just a beautiful event.
It was a reminder that the most meaningful celebrations come from the heart—and from the earth. By collaborating with the restaurant she supports and using the bounty of her own harvest, Robyn created a wedding that felt like home. Simple, soulful, and deeply authentic.
Because sometimes, love truly grows where you plant it.
