Sabamba Alpaca Ranch Volunteer Dianne Bergstrom
The Illuminating Women art exhibition is a celebration of inspiring women who have made a lasting impact within their communities.
Through a collection of photography and biographical narratives, the exhibit honors trailblazers, caregivers, leaders, and everyday heroines whose courage, creativity, and resilience have shaped lives around them. Each piece captures a unique journey, creating a tapestry of strength and hope that invites visitors to reflect on the enduring influence of women. This week, we're highlighting Sabamba Alpaca Ranch volunteer, Dianne Bergstrom.
Meet Dianne...

Dianne Bergstrom
Dianne Bergstrom remembers her Neenah childhood fondly. Together with her twin sister she volunteered at a local hospital and fell in love with caring for others. Dianne trained as a nurse's aide at age 16 and studied nursing at UW Madison. She then worked at ThedaCare's medical-surgical unit and she always loved taking care of patients. Dianne balanced career and family during a time when few married women worked outside the home. With clarity and excellent organization skills, she makes time to give back to the community. Her charitable efforts focus on children, the elderly, and animals. She enjoys restoring historic houses. Dianne appreciates daily walks and sunshine. She is grateful for her life's blessings such as her family and good health. She treasures daily phone calls with her grandchildren.
Dianne's compassion is her superpower. Attentive and practical, she sees a need and intuitively finds a solution. When the Valley Visiting Nurse Association Senior Care needed new headquarters and facilities, she helped raise funds and oversaw the interior design of the independent living apartments. When family members experienced health challenges, she ensured they received great care. Recently, Dianne rescued and rehomed an alpaca. In person, Dianne is a generous and attentive listener. Her kindness and calm presence make everyone's day better.
Soft-spoken and humble, Dianne shines in quiet strength, away from the spotlight. She is the rock others lean on. She supported her husband when he was building his business. She inspired her children to become successful adults and loving parents. She cheers on friends starting businesses and charities. Dianne keeps informed by reading many different news sources with an open mind. She enjoys the latest medical literature, biographies, and mystery novels. She is inspired by those who have a fire in their belly to make a difference. Dianne encourages others to overcome their shyness, and to embrace opportunities without hesitation. Calm and wise, Dianne recommends focusing on one's priorities and the bigger picture before making any important decisions.
