Little Farmer Fine Art Film Photography

A Film Photographer’s Journey Through The Little Farmer in Malone, Wisconsin

What began as a passion for travel photography slowly transformed into a love for my home state of Wisconsin.  Armed with a 35mm camera and a curious spirit, I began exploring Wisconsin with fresh eyes.  From the rolling hills of the Driftless Area to the vast quiet of the Northwoods, to small towns with historic charm.  Each photograph is a reminder that beauty isn’t reserved for far-off destinations.  There’s a quiet charm to rural Wisconsin that often escapes the fast pace of modern life.  I made it my mission to document the natural beauty, rustic heritage, and simplicity of the area.  My journey recently brought me to The Little Farmer, a beloved seasonal apple orchard and farm market nestled in the heart of Malone.

Exploring the Charm of The Little Farmer

Tucked away in the rolling countryside of Malone, The Little Farmer is a cherished fall destination for families and anyone seeking a cozy taste of rural Midwest tradition.  Located near Lake Winnebago, this farm market and apple orchard has become a seasonal staple since it first opened its doors in the mid-1960s.

One of the biggest draws is the opportunity to pick your own apples from the orchard’s many varieties.  Each row is marked, and families are encouraged to grab a bag and head into the trees for a hands-on harvest experience.  The sprawling pumpkin patch is a wonderland of bright orange gourds, perfect for carving, cooking, or fall décor.  Kids can enjoy hayrides out to the fields, adding a touch of adventure to the experience.

A visit to The Little Farmer isn’t complete without a stop in the barn bakery.  Known for its fresh apple pies, muffins, and caramel apples, the bakery is packed with seasonal treats that taste like home.  Many of the recipes have been passed down through generations, and everything is made on-site.

For kids and families, The Little Farmer offers a play area, and goats to feed.  It’s a place that invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and make memories the old-fashioned way.

Elkhart Lake at Dawn: A Solitary Stroll The town of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, still sleeps as I step onto its quiet streets with a camera in hand.  In these early hours, a hush makes the world feel untouched.  I wander the historic streets and admire the vintage storefronts, my footsteps the only sound on the…
