I’m a wife and mother of three.  I march to the beat of my own drum.  My love for travel has taken me oceans away, but nothing compares to the feeling of coming home to Wisconsin.  This is home – with my husband, our kids, and our goldendoodle, Macy.

I believe that we create our own stories.  Life doesn’t always go as planned, and it’s in that lack of certainty that we find our path.  When we’re forced out of our comfort zone and trusting in the unknown, our true creativity is unleashed.

This is my current season of life, to live out of my comfort zone & trust in the unknown.  When I took the time to sit in silence, I found that all I was searching for was actually right there, the entire time.  The answers flowed, and with it, an abundance of faith, trust and patience – in God, in the path before me, and in myself.

I’ve never felt so much uncertainty and taken such risks, but it just feels like the right thing to do.  Up until now, I’ve been coasting and letting things just happen.  Not anymore! With God at the wheel, I will travel the road he has paved for me.

Studio L Photography was founded in 2007, but in reality, it was born in the magic of the darkroom.  That’s where I discovered the artist in me, amid the developing trays and finished photographs hung to dry.  While I’ve spent the last 10 years as a portrait and wedding photographer, I’ve also been simultaneously building a catalogue of almost two decades worth of fine art photography.

After 11 years in business, 2018 is a season of change for Studio L.  I’ve realized that there’s so much more I’m called to do as an artist.  Working with art enthusiasts to bring art into their homes feels like a natural progression towards what I’ve been secretly dreaming of for years.

Now that you know a bit more about me, let’s talk about you and your photography needs!  It’s time to bring the beauty of art into your space and I’m here to help you with that.  Learn more about Studio L’s customized client experience!
