Excessively Entertaining Children

I don't believe in excessively entertaining children.

It's ok to be bored.  In fact, that's when creativity comes alive.  My imagination explodes in the silence.  So, why do we feel the need to be excessively entertaining children these days?

Teaching my children to use their creative talents is my goal.  But to my surprise, children teach me more in return.  Mindfulness and presence is key.

I love the reminder of allowing kids to be bored, it is amazing to see what they can cook up when they are not being entertained.
