Leica M6 35mm Film Camera
Through the Viewfinder: Slowing Down with a Leica M6
There’s something magnetic about German engineering. The precision, history, and intentionality behind every detail. For me, as a film photographer, that magnetism pulled me straight toward the Leica M6.
The Leica M6 not only captures images, but also helps me process the world around me. It’s more than just a tool; it’s therapy. There’s no rush with this camera, no endless shutter clicks or distractions. Just the satisfying advance of the film and the deliberate click of the shutter.

As a digital world races by, I’ve chosen to step back, slow down, and see.
I notice light differently through the lens of my Leica. I frame moments with more care and breathe more deeply. Photography becomes not just an act of capturing, but an act of feeling.
My Leica M6 has traveled with me across countryside roads and bustling cities. Every frame I shoot is a conversation. This 35mm rangefinder camera was originally released in 1984 and has been around longer than many of you have been alive.

When I share my images with followers and clients, I’m not just showing them what I saw, but I’m also inviting them to feel what I felt.
The quiet moments in the fog, the crisp mountain air, and the scenes that often go unnoticed by the casual observer. Film has become my way of translating emotion into image, and my Leica M6 is my favorite interpreter.
For those who follow along on my journey, my hope for you is this: that the photos inspire you to slow down, to see your world a little more deeply, and to remember that sometimes the most beautiful moments happen when we stop striving and start noticing.
