Carla Stephany

Carla Stephany grew up in the Holyland, just outside of Fond du Lac.  From a young age, Carla has enjoyed working outdoors and building things.  Fond memories include helping on nearby farms and learning how to put new siding on a house.  Ready for an adventure, Carla moved to Colorado.  There, she married and had three children.  Always up for a challenge, Carla then enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force for ten years.  After retiring from the Air Force, Carla founded her own construction company, Riveter Construction and Engineering.  Trailblazing ahead for women in construction, Carla creates new opportunities for veterans and their spouses.   Always appreciative of the outdoors, Carla loves barbequing for her family and friends.

Carla is a force of nature and trusts in her own capability as an entrepreneur.  Carla leads with faith and courage.  She credits her faith with giving her strength and energy to pursue her dreams.   Carla takes a practical approach to life and its challenges.  Now a single mother of three, Carla has to juggle motherhood and career.  Returning to civilian life after the Air Force, Carla found a lack of career options for mothers.  Faced with such limited choices, she decided to create new options for herself and other female veterans.  As CEO of her own company, Carla determines her own schedule and can combine motherhood with professional calling.

Carla loves wearing her red polka-dotted hard hat at work and being physically strong.  However, Carla also has a soft side.  She enjoys wearing her sparkly heels, and styling her hair and make-up.  Carla has a zest for life and energizes by skiing and exercising.  What Carla loves the most, though, is listening to her children giggle.  She hopes that everyone will learn to love themselves and have the courage to take charge of their goals and destinies.
